Scholarships, Grants & NONProfits
Based in Arizona, the the Mary B. and Ramon B. Felix Foundation primarily provides:
- Scholarships for students pursuing college degrees or trade school education
- Grants to nonprofit schools for supplies, equipment and educational programs
- Support for nonprofit organizations that uplift educators and underserved students
Scholarships and grants are awarded based on defined criteria and reviewed by the Foundation’s volunteer board of directors.
Our Scholarship Approach
The Foundation believes education is one of the most powerful ways to change lives. We award $2,000 per student per year to students pursuing higher education or trade school training aligned with a specific career path.
We partner closely with Catholic high schools and programs to identify students with both financial need and strong potential.
Where We Award
Scholarships are awarded to students primarily in Arizona, although some out-of-state students do apply, and are promoted through partner schools and programs, including a collaboration with the St. Vincent de Paul Scholarship Program in Phoenix.
Scholarship Timeline
Our board of directors reviews all applications and selects approximately 10–20 students annually based on established criteria.
- Applications open: March 1
- Application window: 4–6 weeks
- Review period: April–May
- Notifications: May-June

Fundraising & Donations
Every August, family and friends gather to celebrate Sister’s birthday (8/23) with a fundraiser and 50/50 raffle that raises critical funds for scholarships. This tradition began with her 90th birthday in 2022 and continues to this day.
We are always accepting donations. Your generosity helps students access education they might not otherwise afford.
Donations support:
- Annual scholarships
- School grants for supplies, equipment and programs
- Long-term sustainability of the Foundation
